Sly and the Family Stone: Everyday People

Sly and the Family Stone recorded "Everyday People" on Epic Records in 1968.  It was initially released as a single late 1968 and then later as part of the 1969 album Stand!.  Sly and the Family Stone's members were Sly Stone (lead vocals), Rose Stone (piano, vocals), Freddie Stone (guitar, vocals), Larry Graham (bass, vocals), Greg Errico (drums), Cynthia Robinson (trumpet), Jerry Martini (Tenor Saxophone), and the group Little Sister comprised of Vet Stone, Mary McCreary, and Elva Mouton provided further vocals.  Sly Stone is credited as the sole composer.  "Everyday People" is frequently performed by other major artists and many cover bands.  The two horns are not outrageous, but offer a light contribution to the already dense full band (and choir) accompaniment.
