Newsletter - Season's Greetings Release

Hot on the heels of The Nook is Season's Greetings!

Ben Basile and I offer a jazz season’s greetings. Season's Greetings is an instrumental chamber jazz interpretation of select Holiday songs. The musical arrangements were inspired by Frank Sinatra, Vince Guaraldi, and Al Green.

Season’s Greetings features hand selected Holiday favorites arranged and performed by Ben Basile and Vince Tampio; Tampio also served as producer and engineer. Ben Basile is an electric/double bassist, educator and composer from New York's Hudson Valley Area. On Season’s Greetings, Ben plays upright bass and percussion, I play trumpet, flugelhorn, guitars, tanpura, and percussion.

We've been collaborating since our college years. Album collaborations include my The Nook (2018), his Two For Twenty (2016), and our A Duo Tribute to Frank Sinatra (2015). All tracks on Season’s Greetings were recorded at my own S.A.V. Studios, Philadelphia, PA.

Celebrate Season's Greetings with us at our Philadelphia release show: Wednesday, December 5, 8:00pm-midnight at Chris's Jazz Cafe. Hear cuts from this album as well as music from my previous albums and select jazz standards. We'll be joined on stage by Jeffrey Smith (piano), and Charlie Heim (percussion).

I hope you enjoy Season's Greetings; look forward to seeing you at the show!
