The Julian Hartwell Project is a modern jazz quintet/sextet that melds elements of funk, hip-hop, RnB and more into an upbeat and memorable sound. Led by pianist and composer Julian Hartwell, the group features a rotating cast of top jazz talent from the Philly area, blending a full group sound of rich, adventurous horn arrangements with inspired improvisations. With a mix of influences ranging from the likes of boundary-crossers Snarky Puppy to straight-ahead pioneers like Roy Hargrove, the group known shorthand as "The JHP" is offering a fresh and distinctly soulful take on the jazz idiom, appealing to both traditional and novice listener alike.

For this show The JHP is very excited to collaborate with songstress extraordinaire Lee Mo on vocals! Catch this epic combo while you can before she blows up on a level way past the Germantown circuit!
